In November 2019, Fr. Kail Ellis, O.S.A. organized a conference at Villanova University on Nostra Aetate, the Second Vatican Council’s Declaration on the Church’s Relations to non-Christian Religions. Cardinal Leonardo Sandri, the Prefect of the Congregation for Non-Christian Religions at the Vatican, sent a letter of greetings to the participants.
At the conference, several prominent well-known international and national scholars gave papers, which became a book titled Nostra Aetate, Non-Christian Religions, and Interfaith Relations, edited by Fr. Ellis. The book explores how Nostra Aetate can influence inter-religious dialogue and understanding in the modern world.
