With great joy and pride, the Augustinian Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova joins with Villanova University in celebrating the University’s new ranking as one of the 50 most prestigious and respected educational institutions in the nation. In this, the start of the 175th anniversary year of its founding by pioneer Augustinian Friars in 1842, we affirm and celebrate the great legacy which our Catholic and Augustinian values of Truth, Unity and Charity, continue to proclaim and impart. From a small, fledgling school for boys, to one of the top four Catholic universities in the country, Villanova has earned the number 50 position in the standings released by U.S. News and World Report on September 13, 2016. Heartfelt congratulations go to Villanova’s President, Father Peter Donohue, O.S.A. and the Board of Trustees for their leadership, to the administration, faculty, students and the entire Villanova community.
