Michael Di Gregorio, O.S.A., Prior Provincial of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova, gave a talk on September 21, 2015, at the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia. The topic of the talk was: Saint Rita: Witness to Contemporary Christian Life.
Five themes, qualities that characterized the life of Saint Rita, were highlighted:

- Willingness to Forgive
- Courage to heal
- Response to Silence
- Decision for love
