The South Philadelphia Review has recognized Father Jack Deegan, O.S.A., as a 2015 Difference Maker. The Difference Maker Award was begun in 2010 and each year recognizes 20+ individuals that have made an impact in serving the South Philadelphia Community. Individuals are nominated and a selection committee reviews the entries. Father was honored for being the Founder and Chairman of the Board for the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of the Poor (ADROP). ADROP was founded in 2004 and has served over 1000 families since its inception focusing on health care, education and justice. The announcement was made in the October 11th edition of the newspaper. Congratulations Father Jack!
