Online summer program for high school students to study the 'Confessions'

“Young men in their junior and senior year of high school are invited to study St. Augustine’s “Confessions” in a virtual reading group with the 2020 Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program.

The group will meet online daily July 13-17 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. to discuss the work of the fourth century North African bishop and doctor of the church, ask questions and join one another in prayer.

Founded in the summer of 2018, the Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program, according to its website, seeks “to invite young men into the ‘great and glorious’ kingdom of literature, philosophy and theology, and to help them see the important connection between their intellectual and spiritual lives.” Read more.
