Augustinian eNews Welcome Back, Bishop Daniel Turley, O.S.A.! Bishop Daniel Turley, O.S.A. has returned from Peru after 53 years of priesthood and nearly 25 years as Bishop of Chulucanas. He is living in community at St. Rita Parish in Chicago and anticipates continuing his ministry with the immigrant community. A member of the Midwest Augustinian Province, Bishop Turley had served as bishop in the Diocese of Chulucanas since 1996. Friars from the Villanova Province have ministered in that Peruvian diocese since 1968. To celebrate, the Midwest Province had a welcoming Mass and gathering for Bishop Turley at St. Rita Shrine Chapel in Chicago on April 24th. Peru will miss him dearly, but we are blessed to have him home!
