Friars Lead Triduum Retreat in Maryland
Fr. Jim McBurney, O.S.A., along with Fr. Tony Burrascano, O.S.A., will be guiding a retreat during the Triduum, April 1-4, 2021 at Bon Secours Retreat and Conference Center in Marriottsville, Maryland. The days will focus on telling the Easter story as a way of also looking at our journey as believers from darkness to light, from death to resurrection. Further information on this retreat and others at the Retreat Center can be found on their website: rccbonsecours.com

Virtual Stations of the Cross at the
National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia
You're invited to virtually join the National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia for Stations of the Cross as we pray in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and abuse. Fr. Jim Paradis, O.S.A. wrote this powerful Way of the Cross as a way to "stand as brothers and sisters with all those who have been handed over to suffering, in particular, those harmed by sexual abuse.” We will virtually gather at 7:00 p.m. on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Peru Communities Join in Remembrance
The members of the Vicariate of Peru held a Mass via Zoom to mark the one month anniversary of the passing of Fr. Joe Girone, O.S.A., who served for five years in Trujillo, Peru. It is of religious custom in Peru to remember the recently deceased at Mass on their one week, one month and one year anniversaries. However, due to the COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, communities could not be together physically.

The Mass was presided by the Regional Superior (Vicar) Fr. Ramiro Castillo, O.S.A., from San José Obrero parish where Fr. Joe served.

Please join the Augustinian Defenders of the Rights of The Poor (A.D.R.O.P.) virtually for our annual Mass of Thanksgiving.

SAINT RUPERT

"If you recall that you have neglected to make up with someone, then wake up and shake off your listlessness. If you are so keen to exact payment from your debtor, just think for a moment that you are God’s debtor. If you are ashamed to ask someone to forgive you, overcome this bad sort of shame with a good sort of fear, so that with destructive animosities terminated, with them finally dead, you yourselves may live."

-Sermon 209, 1
